About Me

Hi, I'm Briggs Newton — a 25-year-old musician, teacher, and music producer from Ogden, Utah. My musical journey started when I taught myself piano at the age of 10. At 17, I fell in love with the guitar and taught myself how to play, with a special focus on acoustic fingerpicking. At 22, I expanded my skills and taught myself how to produce music.

Teaching and music are my two biggest passions in life. I’ve spent my entire life in Utah, except for two years I spent living in Africa where I had the opportunity to serve others and learn both Portuguese and Spanish. That experience taught me the value of connection and self-expression — lessons I now bring into my music and my teaching.

I draw inspiration from a variety of genres, especially alternative, indie, pop, and singer-songwriter. My goal is to help each student discover their own sound and express it with confidence — whether that's through learning guitar or producing their first track.
